Bible Translation Process
In my translation of the Bible every morning, I follow these steps:
- Translate and write down rare word occurrences.
- Pronounce each verse as written in the original language (Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek), paying attention to any rhyming or puns.
- Check the textual apparatus for any textual criticism notes, including the Hebrew/Aramaic Masorah Parva and Masorah Magna.
- Check the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) English translation to ensure I'm translating it properly.
- Write down cross-references listed in the LSB into my Bible.
- Ensure I understand the verse and write down questions that come to mind of things I don't understand.
Lawn Tasks That Remain
I am also working on my lawn. These are the areas I want to finish soon:
- Install drippers on the left side of the backyard.
- Move the dirt back so that the hose is now exposed for the drippers.
- Dig and submerge the hoses on the right side of the house.
- Create a vertical hose extension to access the flower beds in the front of the house.
- Continue the hoses on the ground in the front yard to the sidewalk for more flowers.
I also like football.
